👋 Hello and happy Friday! The blissful weekend is around the corner.
The past two weeks haven’t been the most productive ones for me, yet I managed to work on stuff I love to do here and there, hence, resulting in a couple of things I’d like to share.
How to use React Native Geolocation to get Postal Address
In the tutorial, let's learn how you can implement a feature to get the current location of a device in a React Native app. To do this we’ll be using an API provided by Expo in the form of a package called
expo-location. We will then convert the location coordinates into human-readable postal address format.
Here is what we are building:
Building an app from scratch using Draftbit series
I have started documenting an app clone using Draftbit (which is a low-code/no-code mobile app builder using Expo and React Native). The app is currently being built from scratch which is the focus of the tutorial series. Here are the first two posts in the series:
➡️ Build the Bookbit app from scratch — Part 2: Fetching data from a REST API
Both of the posts cover a variety of topics on building the UI of an application and fetching real-time data using a REST API endpoint in the Draftbit Builder. The UI concepts cover creating Views, touchables, scrolling lists, background images, etc.
