👋 Hey dev,
It's Wednesday and here is an update of all three React Native posts I wrote since last newsletter.
⚡️Chat app with React Native (Part 5): Create and Fetch Real-Time Messages with Firestore
Continuing the chat app series, this is the second last post. We connect every chat functionality we’ve built so far with a real-time database service from Firebase, called Firestore. You’re going to learn how to:
store chat messages of each thread/chat room in Firestore collection
create sub collections inside a Firestore collection
add a feature to display most recent message for each chat room on home screen
fetch data from a Firestore collection
And a few other things along the way.
⚡️How to integrate GraphQL and Apollo Client in React Native app & build a crypto list app
In this post, you are going to see how to use a rest endpoint and integrate Apollo Client to any API endpoint to query results.
⚡️How to Use Redux Hooks in a React Native App
The react-redux library now has support for Hooks in React and React Native apps that make use of Redux as the state management library. In this post, build a small cart app and learn how to use React Hooks with Redux.
Last week, I got interviewed by an online publishing site called SuprStory and discussed about my first open source project for freeCodeCamp, how I ended up designing a course on Node.js for an online teaching platform, and tech blogging. If you are interested, here is the link to the complete interview.
That's it for this week. Hope to see you soon.
